Air Duct Flange System

In engineering structures of the constructional installation, there are different components that each of them has a role in the mission of the constructional installation. One of these installation equipment is air ducts. In this article we study the way that channel connections are made using the flange method. The process of installing air duct flanges in a modern method, replaced the traditional method of using angles and fireproof yarns. In this method, flanging channels is implemented using galvanized prefabricated parts, such as flange profiles, corners, gasket tape and clips. This method is compatible with standards such as DW144 and SMACNA HVAC. Compared to the traditional method of air duct flange, this system has advantages such as better ventilation, higher operation speed, more longevity, more elegant appearance and so on

:Flange profile of air duct channeling

LINKRAN mastic flange profiles are produced in three sizes of 20, 30 and 40 and supplied in branches with the length of 4m. These profiles create the connection point by connecting to the duct mounting. Selecting the flange profile size and the space between flanges is on the basis of the duct’s dimension and the channel sheet thickness

Galvanized Flange Angle

The flange angle is applied for connecting flange profiles and for producing rectangular frame. Depending on the flange profile size, the flange angle is also produced in three sizes of 20, 30, and 40. For producing each frame, four flange angles are needed

Gasket Tape

This tape is used for sealing and air tightening between two flange frames. These tapes are self-adhesive that makes installation easy. Gasket strips are produced and supplied in meters and in sizes according to the flange profile size

Flange Gasket Mastic

LINKRAN acrylic mastic is used to seal the flange connections of air ducts. After drying, this single-component water-based product retains its elasticity and flexibility due to its stable elasticity and has excellent adhesion to a variety of surfaces such as steel, galvanized, aluminum, concrete, wood and polymer surfaces. This mastic is resistant to environmental humidity and sunlight, is colorable,-resistant, waterproof, antibacterial and suitable for indoor and outdoor use

Flange Clips

This product is used to connect the two frames made of flange. Using a self-locking mechanism leads to a stable connection with easy installation
