Energy war

linkran--لینکران

Access to sustainable and qualified energy resources has been always one of the critical concerns of mankind all along the history. The emerging of Industrial Revolution in Europe and industries development was a new season in need of energy issue and creating new industries and prompts for life quality level improvement in a completely different form and the remarkable growth and the impressive speed caused this need to be increased

The ease in extraction and applying fossil fuels such as coal and organic hydrocarbons such as oil and gas have always been attracted as the major energy carriers

Since the 1970s or shortly before and coincided with developments in industry, major changes in the pattern of human life, considering limitation of fossil energy resources, the move towards alternativeenergy sources and energy conservation issue and consequently the energy carriers have been taken in consider more seriously by societies and especially by specialists in this field. Also the increase of pollutions level due to consumption of such fuels and on the other hand, the harmful environmental impacts on environment, and the possibility of extracting organic matter from fossil fuels for applying in a variety of applications, caused the environmental experts and industry experts strongly accompanying this flow of replacement and savings energy

Two general approaches were considered in this regard. The first is the use of higher efficiency energy carriers such as atomic energy, or the use of clean and renewable energy such as solar, wind, sea waves, water flow, geothermal, etc. energies, and the other is energy saving by using solutions for preventing energy loss and consequently reducing fossil fuel consumption

According to statistics released by the International Money Foundation (IMF) and the Organization of Economic Co-operation and Development, global GDP has grown 3.9% in 2018 and 2019
If the world economy grows at least 3 percent in this way annually, by 2040, global GDP will double the current figure. So the prospect for economic development over in next 20 years will be the patter for many energy professionals and big oil and gas companies
.The economic growth and welfare level increase will normally increase the global demanding for energy
.According to the conducted studies, oil and gas will provide 57% of energy demand increase
Although the use of nuclear energy seems as one of the most productive methods of highly efficient energy production, but the necessity of high modern technology for accessing to this energy and its potential risks of using them, especially after incidents such as Chernobyl and recently Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant and very long lasting effects of radioactive radiation, the public's luck to use this type of energy has diminished, especially in developed countries; so that only 7 percent of total energy demand will be met in the next 20 years

In developed and industrial countries, the economy growth and technology progress, will lead to the largest increase in energy consumption while improving energy efficiency. Irregular efforts to save energy are defined as “Jevons Paradox” and “Hazzum-Brook hypothesis”. Predicting energy needs indicates that human civilization will not be able to survive without oil in the next 20 years. Oil consumption will increase by 20 percent and natural gas consumption by 38 percent. The struggle to maintain position in the world is the struggle for energy resources. One, who can control the world energy, will control the world

Renewable energy, will not be able to fully meet

human needs for energy resources despite its

development and will only have a 16% share

developing countries don't have sufficient  funding

for extensive of renewable  energy resources

In fact, without sustainable energy sources, human beings will not be able to survive. It means that in next two decades, the world will be confronted by the struggle of major powers to control energy resources and hydrocarbon reserves and unlike information, monetary and commercial wars, real blood will flow in energy war

According to experts and professional’s point of view, the low-price oil of 1990s is an issue of the past and will not be repeated anymore. Now the world is used to at least $ 60 oil price. Since 1990s until lately, almost all modern and large industrial economies were ignoring the importance of oil and gas. Western economical leaders and experts were claimant that oil has lost its power and influence and a new era in the world economy has begun that the energy independence is its main feature. Their opinion was that the reason of this independency is wealth production without oil affiliation. But same as fashion trend changes, it is practically useless now and this disappointing fact that oil is still a strategic commodity has taken its place

the truth is that oil and, of course gas, are still vital blood in the vein of world’s modern and large industrial economies and will be the same in future. Not very serious effort to obtain the alternative energy sources, demonstrates this fact

Iran currently has 85 discovered oil fields. Iran is also the second largest country in the world in the field of gas resources. Experts have announced that remained of Iran’s gas resources is about 1612 trillion m³. There are also other sources of energy carriers such as coal and etc. in Iran. So it can be said that Iran is one of the best potentials in the region in terms of energy resources and in turn it will directly or indirectly expose Iran to the risk of confrontation of energy war. In such circumstances, the smartest possible act is to reduce energy carriers' fuel consumption and utilize organic hydrocarbons to achieve by-products for sustainable growth and development

War of Energies

Economizing the Energy consumption

Economizing Energy means to find new methods to optimize the use of limited and especially non-renewable resources. Not only the capital will be saved in economizing the energy consumption, but also the need for fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and gas is reduced

Basically, energy consumption management and optimization methods are divided into three categories

  1. Cost-free methods such as the proper and in time use of energy consuming equipment and their proper maintenance
  2. Low cost methods such as energy consuming equipment proper maintenance, pipe and duct insulation and places of energy loss, public training for modifying consumption patterns
  3. Costly ways such as major changes in the structure of buildings and industries and replacing old systems with new high-efficiency systems

The following table presents some of the common energy consumption methods with their approximate effect

 Insulation

Human has long been consciously or unconsciously familiar with the insulation system and have used it to raise the standard of living. In the past, using natural and Eco-friendly materials such as stone, soil, wood, animal skins, dry plants and even ice! and also the difference in comfort level and quality has led to a sustainable, Eco-friendly architecture for human
Nowadays, changes in the type and form of building materials and changes in habits and behaviors and quality of life of human being have disturbed all existing equilibrium. Naturally, this disruption and disequilibrium will have devastating effects which the most notably is about environmental damage and direct and indirect conflicts over energy resources
Since the direction of human current movement is such that these developments are unavoidable, some measures can help reduce the natural consequences of this destructive process
In field of energy consumption and energy saving, the changes in the building materials has caused them to lose their inherently insulation properties. Therefore, in order to prevent energy loss, insulators should be added as a separate part to the building materials
The widespread need for insulations and the change in appearance and building materials, make it practically impossible to use natural insulators
So the construction industry and the related industries have allocated an important portion of their activities to research and development in the insulation sector widely and meaningfully and significant progress has been made in this regard
For the time being a wide range of insulation materials including solid materials (Poly Styrene, Fiber Glass, PVC, Polyurethane, Polyisocyanurate …), injection foams (Polyurethane foam, Polyisocyanurate foam, …) and flexible insulations (such as glass wool, Rock wool, Elastomeric Insulations, …) are available
One of the most modern, high-quality and efficient types of insulations are Elastomeric insulators. In recent years advances in the polymer industry have led to the production and improvement of the quality of the new generation of elastomeric insulators which, in addition to their significant impact on reducing energy consumption, in terms of Eco-friendly, considering safety conditions, ease of use, and acceptable shelf life, affordable price, and return of investment in a reasonable time, are in a special place
By following the global market, these features caused these insulators quickly find their place in our country’s construction industry. Accordingly, over the past few years, our country's artisans and manufacturers have imported equipment and technical knowledge to produce this generation of insulators

Energy Saving with LINKRAN

LINKRAN is proud to be a member of the large community of Iran’s construction professionals, achieving this important goal and, despite the existing difficulties, is committed to importing and manufacturing the device, equipment and technical knowledge of this industry in accordance with international standards. We hope that with the help of Almighty God and with the support of our dear compatriots, we can provide a worthy service to the honorable nation of Iran
